Getting to know THE Computers Guys

THE Computer Guys were originally formed by James Ramos and Omar Cruz in 2010.  Omar and James met at Career Quest Learning Center while continuing their education in the IT Professional program.  With a common desire to service the community at large.

Omar also has earned an Associates Degree from Lansing Community College. He also is active within the Latino community and greater Lansing areas.

Omar and James met Forest (Butch) Secord and Ronald Wright while at CQLC of Lansing Michigan. Bringing them on to enhance the TCG team dynamics .

Forrest Secord is the Project Manager for THE Computer Guys, with 23 years of honorable military service with the United States Marine and Michigan Army National Guardsmen.  Butch has also earned 100 credits from Lansing Community College. He is graduating from CQLC of Lansing from the IT Professional program in October 22, 2010. Ronald Wright is the Microsoft Office Suites Professional for THE Computer Guys.  Ronald is currently working as Microsoft Office Suites tutor for Career Quest Learning Center of Lansing.  Helping and training students that need assistance in Microsoft Word, Access, Power Point, Excel, and Outlook.  As well as being nominated for the “Stand Out Award”, Ronald is graduating from CQLC of Lansing from the IT Professional program in 2011. James A. Ramos is the founder of THE Computer Guys and is Co-Owner with Omar E. Cruz. THE Computer Guys is a vision that James has had for a while. A business that can have more than one purpose, being both community minded with a “pay it forward attitude”, along with a positive bottom line to put back into the community.

James attended CQLC of Lansing in 2010 and is CompTIA Certified with a final GPA of 90.24. James had done IT contract work for Smart Source Technology Solutions out of Chicago Illinois. James is also a Certified Executive Chef, and also owns Uncle Jimbo’s Rubs and Seasoning. He volunteers at a local soup kitchen with his church, Riverview Church of Holt. James hopes to one day have a school that will teach technology to inner city youth, displaced workers, ex-offenders and financially challenged people of all ages on a scholarship basis.

Most importantly, James is grateful to God for his lovely wife, Lynn Ramos. With her love, encouragement, and support James believes now he can be everything God said he could.
